As usually KZ would like to apologize for the slowness in writing posts.. there’s just an overwhelming load of offline activities going on.. classes.. courses.. workshops… making incenses.. hosting events.. and even taking association members overseas for a trip! (if you would like to see if KZ is active.. you can always follow me on instagram at Aloeswoods.) Between the 21st to the 25th of September this year, both me and Jingxintang led an entourage from the Incense Culture Association of Singapore to visit and stay at a lovely private and exclusive incense clubhouse in Hangzhou, China.

The River over which the clubhouse was built, includes a boat that can be floated onto the river where people can have tea, incense or other activities on cruise.

Giant Root Sculpture museum! gigantic and meticulously carved pieces! There are several thousand root carvings at this private “temple”/”museum”. This root pictured here is probably over 8 tons, would have belonged to a tree that is several thousand years old.

This guy is just so impressive.. so many lovely root carvings.. hundreds of gigantic bonsais, and even built his own pagoda!
